Downtown Alley CIP

The proposed 2025 Downtown Capital Improvement Project (CIP) is one of the last projects to complete the downtown corridor improvements.

This project will replace water and sewer infrastructure and improve the alley surfacing and drainage in the alley between Main Street and 2nd Street in the downtown corridor from the south side of Callender Street to the north side of Geyser Street.

Shannon Holmes is the City’s public works director. Adam is the City’s project manager and will be the main contact for the project. Matt with TD&H Engineering is the contracted design engineer for the project.

Current proposed project timeline:

  • January 2025: advertise the project plans for bid;
  • February 2025: Open bids and sign a contract with the winning contractor;
  • June 2025: Construction starts
  • No construction during the 4th of July festivities

The City is committed to ensuring improvements are made efficiently to minimize inconvenience to residents and business owners.


Construction begins Monday, June 9th, on Lewis Street. Weekly meetings will be held on Tuesdays at 10 am at the Office located on Main and Lewis.
